Samsung’s ecosystem is a bit more expansive - Galaxy Tags, more watch options, more buds, more powerful tablet options, cool laptop features, etc.

Samsung takes legit 8k video, Google upscales 4k to 8k

Google has video boost
Google has magic eraser for audio

Samsung can zoom WAYYYY further despite both having 5x optical lenses (show concert pic)

DESIGN
Pixel 9 Pro comes in 2 sizes - that is a huge win in my book!

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Samsung vs Tensor 4

Pixel has 16GB vs 12GB RAM, but it’s compartmentalized for AI - good for AI features!

Both are extremely bright

S24 Ultra has boxy corners for better media viewing - less of a crop, but less ergonomic and pocketable then?

Rounder sides on S24 Ultra make it feel smaller in the hand but the square sides can make it easier to grip

S24 Ultra seems to have better thermal management

S24 Ultra dislay has more scratch resistance and anti-glare BUT it ended up getting very smudgey

S24 Ultra has a titanium frame vs Pixel’s recycled aluminum frame

Pixel has faster wireless (23 vs 15W) charging but slower (37 vs 45W) wired charging

S24 Ultra camera bump is slimmer

S24 is slightly heavier, narrower, and taller

S24 camera cutout appears smaller


CONS of either one
Pixel uses Google Photos as the default and it begs me to use backup and upgrade. It’s really quite annoying

Pixel 9 Pro XL with 256GB storage (spec matched) costs $1200
BUT you can get 128GB and the smaller model with zero other compromises for $999
